About Reiki:

Reiki is a Balanced Energy: Reiki is a neutrally-balanced Universal energy. This means that it is not polarized. Due to this inherent nature, it allows this energy to be used for all types of healing within all areas of our energy systems, including all aspects of our lives.

Reiki is a Multi-dimensional Flashlight: Reiki energy is White Light energy. White light contains the whole spectrum of light which contains all of the colors of the rainbow. This allows us to see ourselves more clearly from any perspective. This light can also help us to see the next step on our path of Healing, Enlightenment, or Ascension.

Reiki is a Multi-dimensional multi-tool: Once we see something we would like to change, balance, create, or manifest, reiki can do it! Reiki is often used for balancing our chakras, releasing stress, and healing trauma. But it can also be used to help us create the life we want to live.

The Reiki Method:

Reiki is a spiritual healing technique that was created in the 1920’s by Dr. Usui in Kyoto, Japan. The Japanese work (rei) means “Universal Life” and (ki) which means “Energy”. It uses the power of intention to channel light and energy from the divine, through the hands, to wherever it is needed naturally. The sessions can be performed hands-on or hands-off.

Reiki Energy:

Reiki is another name for energy; the energy that I described above, the stuff everything is made of. It is the life-force that flows through everything, even trees and rocks. You may have heard of Tai chi or Qi Gong. Both of these martial arts use this energy, or chi, to balance the body, mind, and spirit.

Reiki Healing:

Reiki can help with a wide range of health issues. A Reiki session can dramatically reduce stress in the body, especially in the central nervous system. This can positively impact a wide variety of stress-related illnesses. One could argue that all diseases are caused by stress: physical, chemical, or emotional stress. The main stress-related illnesses are insomnia, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, colds, viruses, diabetes, heart problems, and cancer.

During reiki sessions and while you are receiving reiki, it is common to lay on a massage table, sit in a chair, or lay on your bed.  This is both for your comfort as well as my comfort. These relaxed positions allow the body to keep a straight and neutral position of the spine, allowing energy to flow freely through the spine.

Each session starts off by me connecting to my channel of Divine Love and Light, then connecting to your energy system, then asking this channel to express to us “whatever is in our highest good”. Every reiki session is unique; sometimes the sessions are healing the body, sometimes learning about yourself, and sometimes integrating or expanding consciousness.

Everyone senses energy in different ways. You might feel my “hot hands” commonly associated with reiki. You may experience tingling or vibrations in your body. You may even release emotional stress by crying or physical stress by sighing and stretching. Or you may fall asleep! Great! That means your body is relaxing, your mind is getting out of the way, and you are absorbing the beautiful reiki energy!

You do not need to understand reiki in order to feel the benefits of reiki. Most people while experiencing reiki feel calm, peaceful, and relaxed, kind of like you just had an amazing massage, without the massage part.

My Reiki Lineage:

As Reiki Master, I was trained thru Reiki Level I, Reiki Level II, and Reiki Master by Marie Manucherhi, an Energy Intuitive based in Seattle, WA. This training has lineage directly to Dr. Usui and his teachings in Japan.

At Reiki Level I, I was trained to open up and strengthen the energy channels in my physical body. This made it easier to allow this Universal Life-force energy to travel into me, through the heart and to my hands. I learned the energy centers of the body and self-healing techniques. Reiki Level I is generally considered as being attuned to healing the self.

Reiki Level II, my central energy channel was opened even more, with the focus on the heart chakra. I was trained with several Reiki symbols that allow me to more deeply connect to the universal energy, to practice reiki on others, and to provide reiki through distant sessions. Reiki Level II is generally considered as being attuned to healing others.

The Reiki Master is the third level of training where I received my Master Attunement. This distinction allows me to train others with the Reiki methods, attune their bodies and energy systems, and teach the reiki symbols. I am currently not offering classes, but may in the future. Please inquire if you are interested. Reiki Master is generally considered as being attuned to healing all aspects of your life and living each moment as a Reiki Master.

When I received my Reiki Master certificate, I did not feel like I had earned the title of Reiki Master yet. So I dove headfirst into reiki! I practiced reiki as much as I could on everybody willing. I even set-up a booth at the farmers market so I could practice on 20-30 people each week. Reiki is my life. I nearly eat, breathe, and sleep reiki! I now recognize myself as a Reiki Master! Its like when a cook becomes a Chef!

Reiki feels like a dance of Divine Love, orchestrated by Light and Higher Guidance, and I get to be the conductor.
